Dr. Chakra Rao

Leading India’s CPR Movement to Create a Nation of Lifesavers

Managing Director of Care Emergency Hospital, Kakinada, and Founder of the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation (IRCF), Dr. Chakra Rao is on a mission to make Every Citizen a Lifesaver.

Through pioneering CPR guidelines, large-scale training programs, and strategic policy reforms, he has empowered millions across India with the skills and knowledge to save lives and restore hope.

In 2023, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to CPR, the medical fraternity of Kakinada Smart City honoured him as the CPR Man of India.

Transforming Bystanders into Lifesavers

CPR India, formally known as the Indian Resuscitation Council (IRC), was founded in 2017 by Dr. S. S. C. Chakra Rao with the vision of making Every Citizen a Lifesaver. It was established to create India-specific CPR guidelines and to promote large-scale training programs so that lifesaving skills are accessible beyond the medical community.
